Networking Event “Happy Hour” Zoom First Thursday of Each Month!

The Happy Hour Zoom is a great way to have in-depth discussions about current issues you may encounter while working as an LNC and a great time to ask questions and network with other LNC Professionals.  Please mark your calendars and as always this is a free event.  Please feel free to invite your friends and colleagues to join us.

This event is held on the first Thursday of each month from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m PST. Starting January 9,2025.  Please feel free to invite whom ever you wish to join us in meaningful conversation, all are welcome.

Murder She Notes: The Legal Nurse Consultant’s Role in Homicide

 

The Bay Area Chapter is excited to bring you an exciting informational and educational opportunity via Zoom on May 13, 2025, from 5 pm to 7 pm PST

Cases Objectives:

 

1. Understand how Legal Nurse Consultants can assist in criminal cases. 

2. Understand the importance of documentation in homicide cases. 

3. Learn common mechanisms by which homicide occurs 

4. Be able to differentiate between the manner, cause, and mechanism of death.

 

Ms. Brant is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and has a post-master certification in Nursing Education, a post-master certification in Nursing Administration from THE Ohio State University, and finally, a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama in 2014. She is a Nationally Certified School Nurse, a certified Medical Cost Projection specialist and recently passed her Legal Nurse Consultant certification exam.

In addition to her LNC business, she currently works as a Forensic Nurse Examiner for a large hospital system in Columbus, Ohio. Beth is the founder of Brant Legal Nurse Consultants where she works as both a testifying expert and behind-the-scenes. While she works on many types of cases, her LNC business has a heavy emphasis on forensics and criminal cases. She has been married to her husband and fellow nurse, Jason, for 18 years and has two dogs, Archie and Eddie. She is an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Green Bay Packers fan and travel fanatic.

This is a free event for our members, and for non-members, the cost is $15.00.
